How to outstaff if you do not know how to work remotely

We initially started building our team as a remote and distributed one, and now it is bearing fruit. For more than two years, we have improved both in interviews on Zoom, and in setting goals, and in control. We learned how to maintain the atmosphere - although we have never seen some of the guys from the team live. This approach allows us to collect real diamonds without being limited to one region (and even one country). If this doesn’t suit you, if you don’t know how to work with inevitable risks, and office cookies and a coffee maker are dearer to you than anything in the world, then think again.

It you are not ready to work under an NDA

Yes, this is our harsh reality - a large part of the projects are classified as "top secret" for us. We are not always able to place the client's logo on the site or mention it in the case. The portfolio is not replenished with projects so quickly, because many of them are not public. Therefore, you have to look for other ways to prove your competence.

Success will be achieved by those outsourcing teams that can automate the process of immersion in the customer's business and win his trust. There are also prospects in the outstaff model, as more and more companies are increasing their IT competencies and it is enough for them to strengthen themselves with people.

The level of digitalization of companies is constantly growing, more and more industries are taking in IT projects that were previously outsourced. As a result, only “hands” are taken from outside, which everyone always lacks.

Outstaffing if you have a lot of juniors

This year's crisis has set a new trend - a reduction in the size of teams and an even tougher selection. If your employee does not pass an interview with a client, he is of no value in the outstaff market. Your client needs not juniors, but middles and seniors. Several dozen developers can go through their interviewers - and against the background of strong middles at a conditional rate of 1800 rubles per hour, you and your junior for 2000 rubles will look like clowns. In the worst case, spoil your karma and your developers will simply stop being interviewed.

Outsourcing development allows you to balance the team and smoothly grow your developers, while in outstaffing, incompetence cannot be covered up. Are you ready for this? What about your team?

For companies with a lot of juniors, it is better to focus on tasks where the customer is interested in deadlines, budget, technical specifications, lack of bugs and overall performance. And it doesn’t matter at all who and how will work on their project.
